The difference is who pays for the call

085 and 088 cost your customer nothing extra. With 0800 you pay. That is the whole distinction — the rest is the same platform.

Choose your number

You don't change a number, so pick one that sticks

A 0800 number will soon be in your adverts, on your website and on your service line, so the numbers that are easy to remember come first.

Why free calling

People who don't have to pay call sooner

A free number takes away the last reason not to call. That is why 0800 is on service lines, in adverts and in campaigns: you show that you spare no effort or expense to be reachable.

You pay for the call

You see live what comes in

In the dashboard you see in real time how many calls and minutes come in on your number. Every month you get one invoice for those calls and for your package.

Only within the Netherlands

A 0800 number cannot be reached from abroad

A Dutch 0800 number only works for callers in the Netherlands. If your customers also call from Germany or Belgium, we add a freephone number of their own there, with its own greeting per country.

0800 or 085?

Should a caller really not have to do anything for it, for a service line or a campaign that runs on phone calls? Then 0800 is the choice and you pay for the minutes. If your customers mainly call with a question or an order, an 085 number is enough: your customer calls it at their normal rate, usually within their call bundle.

What it costs

One package, with every Customer Service feature

With a 0800 number you pay for the call instead of the caller. The package is a fixed amount a month; the per-minute rate depends on the network the call comes from and you get it on request.

About the 0800 number

0800 numbers are national, location-independent phone numbers that are always free to call. They are not linked to a city or region and are issued by the ACM in the Netherlands.

You can always call 0800 numbers for free — the costs are paid by the owner of the number.

The best and fastest way is the number picker on this page. You can also request a number yourself from the ACM, but then we cannot help you with that. If you request it on this page, we will guide you through the entire registration process — completely free of charge.

Yes, of course! These features are available with every phone number at CallFactory. They also work with a VoIP phone system from us or from another provider.

For the most current prices you can check our pricing page.

The ACM usually needs 2 to 3 weeks to process and approve your application. After that, we need about 5 working days to activate the number block in the national telephone network.

By using a 0800 number for your company, you project service and customer focus. You show that you spare no effort or expense to be reachable — the customer can even call you for free! The use of a 0800 number quickly pays for itself: companies see up to 25% more turnover thanks to a free phone number. That is why these numbers are also widely used in advertising campaigns. Consider it if you want to set up a separate service or promote something extra.

No, a Dutch 0800 number is only reachable within the Netherlands. You cannot call it from abroad.

Companies that are expanding internationally and need a free 0800 number in another country can arrange this via us. Because we are registered in 14 European countries, you can request a number from us directly. Per country you can set where the calls come in and set a separate greeting, for example for your 0800 number in Germany and your 0800 number in the UK. Check our international number shop to see which numbers are available, or contact us for more information.

To request a 0800 number, it must be used for business purposes. It is not possible to request a 0800 number for personal use, because these numbers are intended to allow customers to contact companies for free.

In the numbering plan there are short and long information numbers. A short number has 4 digits after the prefix, for example 0800-4030, and a long number 7 digits, such as 0800-4000400. Short numbers are limited in availability and according to the Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) may only be issued to organisations that expect more than 2,000 minutes per month. They are therefore mainly used for radio, TV and emergency services. If you want to request a short number, please contact us.

0800 phone numbers work with any online phone system. It is a virtual number that we forward to your ‘real’ number, so you do not need to purchase new equipment or make adjustments. The 0800 phone number is free for the caller and gives you a professional appearance, for example in advertisements.

You can see in real-time in our dashboard how many calls and minutes come in on your free number. Monthly you receive an invoice from us for these calls and for the subscription to our online phone system.
